Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
Your privacy is important to us. In short: analytics only if you accept them, no advertising cookies, and if you join the waiting list we keep only your email address.
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what information We collect when You use the Museji website, why, who helps Us handle it, and the rights You have over it.
Museji is a piano app for phones, still in development, coming to Android first. This policy covers the website (museji.com) and its beta waiting list. The app will have its own privacy policy when it launches.
Who We Are
Museji is run by Christian Iacomino, based in Italy, who is responsible for Your data (the "data controller"). You can reach Us at [email protected].
What Data We Collect
Your email address (only if you join the waiting list)
When You join the beta waiting list, We store Your email address and the time You signed up in a database on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Nothing else: not Your name, IP address, device or browser.
How You use the site (only if You accept analytics cookies)
If You press Accept on the cookie banner, We use PostHog to see which pages You visit, where You came from, Your device and browser type, Your approximate location (country or city), and how You move around the page (clicks, scrolling), including recordings of Your visit. Anything You type, such as Your email, is hidden from these recordings. We don't use this to identify You.
Technical data every website receives
Like any website, Our hosting provider receives the technical information Your browser sends with each request (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) in order to deliver the page and protect the site against abuse. We do not use it to profile You.
Emails You send Us
If You write to [email protected], We receive Your email address and whatever You choose to include, and use it only to reply.
Cookies & Tracking
We use analytics cookies (from PostHog) only if You press Accept on the cookie banner. If You press Reject, nothing is loaded and nothing is stored, apart from a note in Your browser that remembers Your choice. You can change Your mind anytime with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. We never use advertising cookies.
To keep bots off the waiting list, the sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that only uses what it needs to tell people from bots (see Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum).
How We Use Your Data
- •To tell You when the beta opens and share important Museji news (waiting list only)
- •To reply to emails You send Us
- •To keep the website and the waiting list secure and free of spam
- •To understand how people use the site and make it better (only if You accept analytics cookies)
Why We Are Allowed To
- •Consent: You choose to join the waiting list and whether to accept analytics cookies. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
- •Legitimate interest: keeping the site running and protecting it from bots and abuse, and answering Your emails.
Waiting List Emails
We only email the waiting list about Museji: the beta opening and important product news. We never sell Your email or share it for anyone else's marketing.
To leave the list, write to [email protected] and We will delete Your email address.
Who Helps Us
- •Our hosting provider: serves the website to Your browser
- •PostHog: analytics, only if You accept them (data stored in the EU)
- •Cloudflare: runs the museji.com domain, the waiting list service and its database, Turnstile (the bot check), and forwards emails sent to [email protected] to Our inbox
- •Legal requirements: We share data only if required by law or a valid request from a public authority
- •Business transfers: if Museji is merged or acquired, the waiting list would move with it under this policy
Where Your Data Is Processed
PostHog stores analytics data in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Our hosting provider and Cloudflare are based in the United States and run servers around the world, so Your data may be processed outside the EU. All three do so under their own data protection terms, which include the safeguards the GDPR requires for such transfers (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
Links To Other Sites
The website links to Our Discord server. Discord is a separate service with its own privacy policy; what You do there is covered by Discord, not by this policy.
How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep Your waiting list email, on Cloudflare's infrastructure, until You ask Us to remove it or until We no longer need it for the beta and the launch of Museji. Analytics data is kept for up to 12 months and recordings of visits for up to 30 days. Emails You send Us are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.
You can request deletion of Your data at any time by contacting Us at [email protected].
Your Rights (GDPR - EU Users)
If you're in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:
Access
Get copies of your data
Rectification
Correct inaccurate data
Erasure
Request deletion
Restrict
Limit how we use it
Portability
Transfer your data
Object
Oppose our processing
Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights. We'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to a data protection authority; in Italy, that is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Security & Children
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for anyone under 14. If we learn we've collected data from someone under 14, we'll remove it immediately.
